Aunt & Uncle's new pup :D
My aunt & uncle lost had to have their dog, Kiska, PTS a few months ago and it crushed them... They swore they'd never have another dog... Knowing that they've had a dog ever since they've been married (38 years or so) it wouldn't be long before they got another one...

New years eve comes around and I get an email from my aunt saying there was a new baby at their house - I didn't think anything of it. So I went over there and there she was... A rescue pup, of course, from the humane society. She doesn't have a name, yet... but my uncle is clever enough with names, I'm sure he'll figure something out.

Picture? Okay, fine... You've twisted my arm enough.




We're also trying to figure out the breeds in it.. We definitely see shepherd, but are unsure of the rest... maybe lab?

Anyway... any name suggestions would be appreciated, too.

Shepherd/Lab mix would be my guess. Although it would be easier to tell once she's older.

Oh I just LOVE the expression in her gentle looking eyes. What a honey she is! I was also looking at the sky in the first picture and thought for sure you were in for a major storm, but I see the second picture is also purple. I took pictures just like that once and never did figure out how it happen.

hehe - here in the pacific northwest, the weather suddenly changes all the time without warning. So we have a saying here, "If you don't like the weather in the pacific northwest, wait 10 minutes."

Thanks for the comments, everyone! She's definitely a snuggler and already knows her place in the pack. My uncle is using positive reinforcement with her and even declared that if an accident happens in the house, it's his fault and not the pup's. When she "goes" outside, there's praise all around and the pup has this satisfying look on her face like she has just one a beauty pagaent or something ... or maybe it's the look of relief.

I look forward to watching her grow - and you can bet I'll be taking pictures along the way.
