My friend got a pittie pup!

My friend April (Who I go to the dog park with all the time, and who is a dog lover..I mention her often) got another puppy. Her mother (Who doesn't know how to properly care for a dog) has told her she wants a "guard dog". So April has been looking and finally found the perfect dog (She has been looking for a Pittie cause shes a huge fan!). Someone on Craigslist found this 4 month old (Approx) male pitbull puppy in their neighborhood and couldn't find his owner. Said they had 5 dogs already and were renting their home, so couldn't keep him. So April is now his "mother". She will make sure he gets properly trained and socialized, hes not going to actually be a mean "Guard Dog". We are taking him to the dog park tomorrow. (Hes been living outside this entire time, and her mom is making him live outside as well. But April brings him in when shes not home, which is usually every day, to every other day for 6 hours or more). I drove her to pick him up and we kind of got lost at 9:30 at night lol, but we found him finally.

Whats funny is, my best friend got a new puppy as well. His little brother found him, and they are keeping him. Hes a pitte, the SAME color (a bit lighter), but hes a third the size of Charlie, and won't be getting the same good care. They don't know much about dogs. (though, he will be living inside instead of outside.)

Charlie is gorgeous! He looks like he's a very friendly dog, which is great. Shame their mum doesn't know much about dog care, though.

What a handsome boy!
Do they know that he's pure? It looks like he's got something in him other than Pittie...maybe American Bulldog or something. Is head just looks "off" to me.

Her mom didn't want a pure pittie cause she follows into that stereotype..though, she doesn't know anything about dog breeds and doesn't even know this dog is mostly pit. She thinks hes a lab mix lol

And yet, no matter how well behaved the dog is or even if they previously thought it was a different breed, as soon as they find out the true breed the dog is they think less of it. *sigh* Oh well. She can just keep thinking its a Lab mix.

lol I told my parents that Lucy was a border collie mix because they would have said definatly no to her real mix. (chow lab aussie basset hound) they know now what she is and don't think less of her since she is such a good girl.

Yeah, my mom doesn't like pitties, or me even bringing my other dogs around them. It is extremely annoying, and I wish she would just stop. We are renting out other house out, and she put "NO PIT BULLS".
