Oh my goodness your fur kids are to die for. Soooooo cute. I LOVE Great Danes. Emily is so cute I just wanna pick her up and snuggle her. Girl has a wise look about her and chewy looks like trouble

They are all SO SWEET!!

I love Great Danes. Their size always shocks me when I meet one in person, just cause I'm so used to the size of my small dogs. Emily looks like a sweetheart.

Thanks guys! I love Harlequin Great Danes too, they are for the most part.... true "Gentle Giants" and Emily is just a little sweetheart.

I used not care for Great Danes, but after meeting more and more they've really grown on me. Harlequins are my favorite colors, followed by brindle, blue, black, and then fawn.

Is it true that differen't coat colors have differen't "temperments", or is that like saying a black Lab is differen't than a yellow Lab?

Aha, I wasn't very fond of the idea of having such a huge dog years ago myself, that was until I met my first Great Dane. Since then, I have totally fallen in love with the breed. They are a very special breed, to me they are one like no other. I'm sure that after being owned by Great Danes, I will always have at least one Great Dane in my life.

The color of their coat doesn't play any role in the dog's temperment, it's genetics that does that. Great Dane puppies almost always seem to get the same temperment as one of the parents. But, the color doesn't seem to have any effect on the dog's temperment like in Labrador Retrievers.

Your "harley" boy is BEAUTIFUL! I worked at a doggie day care for a year and the owner had a dane himself. A harlequin as well. His name was Harley. He was the most goofy, gentle giant I'd ever met. He had a strange habit of being a very picky eater. It was strange. And he would refuse food until he was literally emaciated. Vet checks showed nothing, he even tried a Vitamin B shot to boost his appetite - nothing. People food, canned food, different foods -- nothing worked. He spent most of his time boarding there because he said he atleast ate SOMETHING while he was there. I don't know, but he ended up finding him a new home because he didn't have time for him when he had his new baby

But he was just getting so frustrated with him not eating. So he found a nice family that was going to cook for him everyday. The man was a chef! Must be nice!

Sorry for rambling. He was a great dog. I would have loved to have taken him, but I've got such a large crowd already, and he would have been like adding 3 or 4 dogs to my pack. Hahaha

I'd definetly love to have a dane one day though.

Faol and I went to the dog park this past weekend, and a harlequin great dane showed up. We'd seen her there once before, and I got pics this time, so I'll post them later. But she looked SO skinny, like emaciated. I really thought she must have some greyhound in her. So I asked the owners but they said she was pure dane. So odd. I'd never seen any dane that skinny before. She was also really shy. Wouldn't leave her owners side, to to check out other dogs or anything.
