Great pics! I love the one with Lucy in the flowers and of mushroom biting the tire . I had the camera out today hoping for some spring time pics but it is too dark and cloudy for good lighting.

You can buy the tires in a pet shop. They're made out of a sturdy rubber for bad chewers Doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they're a pit.

There are the morons though that will make them drag a tire behind them just bulk them up
Sometimes tires are used on spring poles so they can hold onto them and play. It just a good toy for them to play with as they can manage to chew up anything!

i just bought them a plain old tire at the farm supply store. cheaper and sturdier.

people who have their dogs drag tires for weight pull practice are often training for a weight pull competition. it's not just to "bulk the dog up", it's to increase muscle and pulling strength for a very legitimate competition. there are several pulling arenas and it's a great sport for pit bulls. they're very good at it and they often love it. done correctly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. lots of breeds compete, not just pit bulls.

Yup, it's probably a good thing for a sled dog to strength train with too. I don't know. OC could tell us about that. As long as it's not so much weight that it would injure the dog, I would think it would give the dog some good exercise and strengthen his muscles and increase bone density. Maybe I'll get my Chihuahuas to drag one of those around and bulk them up a little.

Anyhow....very cute pictures. Your dogs look like they're having lots of fun.
