Update: My Boys

My dogbox is almost complete!!!! All that is left to do is clean out a bit of extra straw dust (from the straw breaking down that was in there throughout the racing season) and then give it a complete paint job. My dad had it pulled out of the garage when I came home from work so I figured I'd snap some pics for you guys! With OC and Ronan too of course!

But First! A cute pic of the boys along he trail I take them too for biking, and sometimes sledding in the winter

The boys in the dogbox. The front door has wood over the hole because it was used for storage rather than a dog, we have a metal plate for it though. OC and Ronan are demonstrating how the metal plate can be removed so they can poke their heads out of the hole (its not big enough for them to jump out though).

The whole box

Ronan has always looooooved the dogbox!

OC says "Welcome to my home on wheels!"

I also took this video of OC to send to his breeder. He is offleash in my front yard with just his choker on for ID.

DISCLAIMER: I do not recommend trying this with most Sibes.

The boys sure seem to enjoy their dogbox (especially with OC jumping in and out like that)! When I saw that first photo of them with their heads poking out, I thought that you had painted them on there... I had to do a double take! Have you thought of a name for your dogbox/kennel yet?

Swift, they both jump in and out happily like that, I just didnt get a video of Ronan. After you mentioned the pic looking like paintings, I looked again and I totally see it LOL I wish I could be that good of an artist I *might* get a mural done on the back of the trailer but I dont know how fast it would get ruined through rough usage. And no I'm still indecisive about the name...too many good ones to choose from LOL

Dragon, I never expected OC to ever reach the point where he could be offleash unless maybe he was a grizzled old man who hardly makes the effort to so much as get up let alone wander away LOL But he has impressed me that's for sure! I'm still very careful where I let him loose and only set him up for success (ie, only let him off for short times so he doesnt loose interest and find something else to entertain himself with or let him off in a high-distraction area). If I can't maintain his full attention while he's outside onleash I dont unclip the lead and if at any point he starts lagging before complying in a command the lead goes back on ASAP.

Calgal, he is as well-behaved but not nearly as obedient if that makes sense LOL Ronan is an extremely well-mannered dog but he just can't be bothered with obedience. Around the house and onleash he is fantastic but unclip that lead and the lil devil will pop up hahaha I dont mind though, what compells him to want to take off and run forever is the same thing that makes him excel as a lead dog.

Love that first pic particularly

The dog box looks awesome, you must be stoked with it - the boys sure do look right at home.

The video of OC was great, he's such a good boy, you've both done a great job together

The dog box looks great - I too was thinking a nice mural would be great. OC and Ronan kinda look like goofy Vikings peaking out the of the boat

OC's obedience is great! Nice work!

Pig hunt hmm...would have loved to see them in action and in the box too. I do think helmets and horns should be added on that box,LOL
