Chaudron, a Berger Picard
For those that are interested, here are some pics of Cau. He is our Berger Picard. Kind of rare still but if you saw the movie Winn Dixie well then you saw a Picard! We show him in UKC and are hoping to get a female pup some day! He's been a pretty good dog to raise, too.

Thanks guys. He is easy, easy care regarding coat. They have this minimal puppy shed at about 9 months, and then very minimal care. In France, they recommend not bathing onless you HAVE to! Here, we bath a few days out before a show with a course coat shampoo. Other than that.....nothing. It's a great coat that doesn't mat with an occasionl brush run through it.
Personality is similar to a shepherd but a little more independent-minded.....basically you need to find out what they want to make them work and then they will work happily for you, but you cannot force them or they will shut down.....
