Ares, our ChiPin mix, is 6 months younger than our Chihuahua Vito. It seems that the ChiPin mixes look either more Miniature Pinscher or more Chihuahua. Except for the short, Chihuahua-like legs, Ares looks all MinPin. The fact that he was born with a bobbed tail seems to make him look even more so. They exercise each other every day with their antics, and the once "safe zones" that Vito could retreat to when he wanted to get away from Ares have become accessible to Ares at a much younger age than Vito could achieve. Ares is a brilliant climber, digger, and uses his muscular body in "dirty fights" with Vito by swinging his back end into him, or head-butting him. At times Vito will use all his available resources to bully Ares, but Ares has no fear of the snarls, growls or snips. Other times they are Best Buds, and whine if one or the other disappears for a short time. As they are both still pups, being raised together is working out well rather than trying to introduce a new dog to an adult. Ares is definitely a force to be reckoned with. In fact, our outside dog that we originally found as a stray and is part Blue Heeler and part Doberman, is downright intimidated by Ares!

They are cute! I would love to see a picture of your other dog! I bet he gets jelous of the other two being inside and him having to stay outside.

Where did you get your chi x min pin?

Vito and Ares are sooo cute!

I have a Chihuahua as well, her name's Abby (she turned 8 years old in July). I'm trying to imagine what a Blue Heeler and Doberman mix looks like... sounds interesting!

I am picturing a blue-ish dobe with natural ears lol....
