Bailey and Lucy Pics

My mom made Bailey and Lucy some new halters. I haven't been able to find a halter that doesn't pull on Lucy's legs. After searching for months my Mom and I decided to make our own. I used a pattern from one of Bailey's jackets. I can hook a leash to the D ring on the back. Don't they look smashing?!?

Lucy strikes a pose.

Who is who in this photo? Man Lucy is growing like the weeds!

Oh, those look really comfortable as well as stylish! That red is really striking on those black dogs. Now, you want me to tell which dog is which? Yeah...right! I can't see their faces. That might help. The one in the back looks bigger in the picture, so is that Bailey? It's incredible how alike they look. They are really, really pretty dogs and so cute and perky. You and your Mom did a great job with those harnesses. Thanks for showing the pics!

I was in the same situation. I now make the vet-harness. Zada, my 5 month old Yorkie has 15 so far. They are all just totally adorable. Look out though, your going to have lots and lots of people wanting to know where you got them and would you make them one or two. I had a lady just Sat. wanting me to make her two cats some. Your little guys are just totally awsome looking even without those beautiful harnesses. I love their faces. So darn cute!!!

How cute are those two!!!! You guys did a really good job at making that those harnesses! And for your last pic...the one in the back is Bailey because it doesn't have brown markings above her eyes! lol Am I right?
(I think it is funny because my cousin has a female Black and Tan Dachshund whos name is Bailey. lol But her Bailey is a little overweight. The vet and I told them to cut down on the snacks because the weight puts extra strain on the spine.)
Anyways, your pups are just too cute!

Oh calgal, can you show me your harness? Mine work good but we have to make them again to get a better fit. The top part goes accross their throat a little too high. I like that the front legs are totally free for Lucy. The buckle harnesses pull on her legs when she pulls on the leash. I need to use stronger velcro too. I went for the cheap stuff. I like them though, for a first attempt. I saw other dachshund owners making their own halters too but they still have a strap that goes between the front legs and ends up pulling on the shoulders. Dachshunds are so hard to shop for, that deep wide chest really sticks out. I am sure Lucy will grow out of her by next week anyway. LOL Once I get them right I can make all different patterns for the holidays. What fun! I want a Fourth of July one next.

Carrie and Ritze, you gessed it. Lucy is in front with her head turned. I swear I can't tell them apart sometimes, especially when they are running and I am trying to catch Lucy to give her a pill. I say "GOTCHA" and when I look, it's Bailey squirming in my arms like a greased pig.

Awesome pics and nice job on the harness! They look very comfortable in them and what a great way to keep her shoulders from being pulled!

Awesome pictures!!!!!! Does the velcro on the harness not rip open when they pull against it? The harnesses do look very well made and comfy though!!

They are both adorable....you did a great job on the harnesses...they look very similar to these
http://www.bowsawowsa.com/product_in...9f4a309f8a6ef2

My mom is a harness nut with the pugs always look for ones that dont pull on their neck at all. Also, I have seen some in the same pattern as yours at my local Pet Store seems like that is the new way to go....hmmmm maybe you should make some and sell them??
