What a good boy to stand so still for the camera! That's a terrific stacking job. Did he walk into it or did you place his feet? He's so handsome!

Carrie - he naturally stands in something very close to a stack... here's how he stands when he's relaxed and not doing anything:

So it's easy to get him into a stacked position as long as we wants to cooperate.

Looks like you've got yourself a natural showman there Congratulations - he's quite the hottie, and I'm *very* jealous! Can I steal him? Borrow him just for a little while? Pretty please? (I can't tell you how much I want a red dobie).

That's such a cute thing to say. Heh, heh, heh!

You know, it's funny. Many, many times Lyric will be walking along and stop and he just happens to stop pretty much squared up. It must be kind of naturally comfortable for these Dobes. Sometimes it's just one foot that's just a tad out of line. I never have my camera ready. LOL.

My what a handsome boy!!!! Good square stack too! Is he european lines? He looks that way just the way he's a lot more muscular than the generally sleeker american lines that almost look like they've been crossed with a sight hound...

Good question! His dam is a fawn American champion (pure American lines, goes back to Ch. Cambria's Cactus Cash). His sire is indeed European (mostly Belgian, German, and Italian). However, he is over in the States to finish his AKC and UDC championship - with NATURAL ears. He's got both majors and should be finished within a month or so.

Here's a recent photo of him...

Gorgeous dog!! Hubby wants a Dobe so bad he can tast it!! Everyday that he is home, he is searching for a good, reputable breeder...he doesn't mind the reds, but prefers the black/mahogony. I think he would take it regardless of color, although I have told him under no uncertain terms will there be a white Dobe in this house!!
