Thank you all
i think their cute tooI got into the Smoushond breed years ago when I was young around 19 or 20 and i met this women in the park Maddie was just a puppy and she had this scruffy little dog whome Maddie just loved. They started to play and i asked what kind of mix she was and the women told me she wasent a mix but a Hollandse Smoushond they women proceeded to tell me what a great breed they were. I did some homework and then eventually got my first Smoushond . Their tough to find and expensive but worth it all I breed my dogs (they must be bet approved of course) only my Smoushonds none of my other dogs their just pets. |

Beautiful Pups...
Cass, mutiple dog households are fun but I am dying for a fenced in yard for mine to be able to play in. With all four inside trying to play can sometimes get frustrating...but I love them all!!! |

Very interesting breed. Goodness you sure have your hands full with 11 dogs. I don't know how you do it. Are their coats soft or rough? I had a little foster that looked exactly like Chewy except her color was like a Yorkie.

Bonkers
Hi,
Where did you find the smoushounds???? Have been trying to locate breeders etc. but to no avail!!! We had our Bonkers who passed away about 4 yrs. ago and have wanted another smoushound since, but no one seems to know too much about them. Have even contacted the Netherlands, but they apparently can't be exported. Would greatly appreciate any info as to where we would be able to find one for sale. Am desperate as Bonkers was a stray who happened to wander into our lives and immediately became a part of our family for the 12 yrs. she was with us! She apparently was about 5 when we found her and lived to be about 17. She was such a great friend to all and I didn't think I would ever find another dog that resembled her so much until I saw your pictures . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mary jo |
