Pics of the new dog
please keep in mind, we rescued her. She was matted to the skin ALL OVER. So now she doesn't look like a Giant Schnauzer, but I know she feels better. I just hope it grows back fast!!

Oh she'll feel so much better now, but be careful of sunburn, but I'm sure you already know that. Let's see, hair grows back up to 1/2" per week, so, she'll be back to Schnauzer length in no time!

I happen to know someone here in Wisconsin that may be looking for another Giant. What rescue do you work with?

Novel, I don't work with a particular rescue...this was sort of a "heard it through the grapevine" type deal. However, your friend can go to Giant Schnauzer Club of America...they have links to rescues.

She is settling in nicely. She gets along great with everyone (Elite and Lestat). Once her nose bleed gets fixed, we'll bring her inside. We are leaving for the vet in about 1 1/2 hrs....I found several sticker type seeds in her hair and imbedded in her skin. I'm sure they'll have to put her under to get it out. I'll let everyone know when we get back!!

Are her ears cropped? In the shaggy pic I can't tell and the shaved one I think they are but not sure.

Yes, her ears are cropped...REAL SHORT. We couldn't tell either until we shaved her.

We thought she was housebroke until last night...she walked into the living room and started to pee!! So we rushed her outside. I think we'll have to let her settle down for a day or 2 before pushing anything. But she gets along with the other 2 really well!!
