Hello- I couldn't figure out to how post them here, but I put the new pictures of Chance, who finally got to come home, in the pictures gallery. He was still a little groggy today, so I wasn't trying to bombard him with a camera in his face. As he feels better I'll get some more pictures. He's doing well though!

My niece actually thought of the name. I threw it out to the family that I wanted a new name for him, sorry I just couldn't get into Garth! Anyway, she said what about Chance b/c of the Am. Bull, that is also white, and the fact that he really is getting a second chance! I think it's fitting! He's in his crate now sleeping! So sweet! Tomorrow is the big test though- I have to give him 5 different medicines. I'm crossing my fingers!
Thanks so much for your replies! I just can't believe someone gave him up! My families luck! Lori |

Yet Another Turn Of Events!
well, Chance is at the vet again!
My husband leaves for work at 3:30 am and he let him out before he left. When I woke up at 7, I got him out of the crate and I saw blood. I checked him over and didn't see anything, gave him his medicine, let him eat, took him out and then we sat on the floor and I rubbed him. When he got up, I saw blood on the carpet. I took him back and they said they wanted to keep him overnight and take it day by day. After examining him, she couldn't tell what was wrong. She said it wasn't from his stitches and it was like it was coming from his "skin". She said he was "wired", but honeslty from the time he was home we kept him calm. He jumped up once when he saw my husband come home today, but that was it! I sat on the floor with him today so he wouldn't want to jump on the couch or anything. I felt silly at the vet because I just started bursting out crying, but I couldn't help it! I just want him to be better and be home. I know that some people react differently from sugery, is this the same for animals? Could he just be healing slower than the average dog? I'm just now wondering if their is something else wrong with him or truely just a result from the neuter.Lori ![]() |

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers! Sheesh, I wish sometimes I had a personal line to God, but I guess that would be too easy.
I'm a little irritated b/c when we dropped him off she said she would call us with an update. We left FOUR messages and they never called back. One time we got through and they said she was really busy. On the message line, they say they need more vets so I know they are in need, but it's my baby. I'll keep you posted... Lori |

It could be many things going on Lori, and I'm happy he's being observed, even though I know it's killing you to have him away from you. I am sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time with the practice though. It sounds like they not only need to get a few more employees, but maybe reduce their caseload until they do.

Yes, I think so too Novel. I am happy he's getting help. I want him to be healthy. I can't believe how sad I feel though. I think it's because deep inside I keep thinking, "is he going to come out of this, could it just be something minor they are going to make better or is it something worse". I was talking to my sister tonight and I told her I feel like I'm in high school again and my boyfriend just broke up with me. I know it sounds silly, but my heart honestly hurts.
I know a couple people mentioned keeping him with the SPCA vet b/c he is comfortable with them already, but I wonder if it would be best to have him somewhere they are not so over done! Thoughts? Anyway thanks again Novel! Lori |
