When they are in show coat I spend half an hour a day on each, and then the week before a show it takes a full four hours to do a complete line brushing, then bath, then blow dry and complete brush through again. Then at the show, another hour a day (line brush, primp, and making sure the feet and beard are as clean as possible)

When I am not showing, I clip them down to about an inch of coat, and just do a brush through every 2 or 3 days to make sure the cat comes in knot-free. It only takes a few minutes at that length of coat, but they are double coated and when they are clipped down or not if the undercoat is not brushed it can mat to their skin as if someone glued felt to them. LOL

They are sweet dogs. A lady who lives near me had two of these guys. Never could figure out why the eye were always covered up though.

Oh wow! They're so beautiful! I use to have a female OES, they're fantastic dogs. I don't envy you the grooming though. LOL That's the only thing I don't miss about having one.

I've always wanted a sheepdog, they have the friendliest look to them...always look happy go lucky. Hard to have a bad day around those guys I bet! They are stunning!

Oh wow you have Old English Sheepdogs! I grew up with one named Scruffy - she was the best! I loved that dog, we usually kept her shaved down for the most part. They are awesome dogs, maybe one day I will have another in my life. My girl had one blue eye and one brown eye. She lived till she was almost 13 - not too bad for a bigger dog.
