Talking Two dogs and a little boy.

I went away for my nephew's 4th birthday recently and whilst away I took a few (very few unfortunately) pictures. They're nothing spectacular...just a few of my dog, my sisters dog and one of my nephew. I have more but they're on an unfinished film still in my camera (yes, I still use a film camera ).

First...My nephew Ethan. He just LOVED this bubble kit that someone gave him. He blew bubbles for hours.

Jesse James in his favourite spot at my mum's...his bed.

Jesse in the garden. I wish it had of been better weather while I was there (maybe at xmas it will be) because Jess LOVES this garden, it's huge and he just explores it all day.

Here's one of Jesse & my sister's dog Bexley. Isn't she pretty?

Last one is of Bexley on her own. I don't know what happened to the colour on this, perhaps it's because she's almost the same colour as the tiles? She's got a shaved leg because she was attacked by a larger dog (which she provoked ) a couple of months ago and the fur hasn't grown back properly yet. She's a feisty little tomboy.

I'm pretty sure I took more photos of them on this other film, so I'll use it up and get it printed as soon as I can.

Funny thing happened at the party. Ethan was so eager for us to cut his cake that we had to tell him to wait until the candles were lit before he had any. So his mum lit the first candle and Ethan blew it out straight away. So we tell him, "No, you have to wait until they're all lit". His mum lights the candles and as soon as the last one is lit....he blows them out. We tell him "No, we have to sing 'happy birthday' to you first". His mum lights all the candles and we start singing. Well, Ethan was sick of it by then and tried to stand up so his dad held him gently while we continued to sing and eventually Ethan got away and started running away from us.
The entire group (about 20 people) all turn in unison and continue to sing the rest of the song as little Ethan runs off into the distance and hides behind a tree.
He never did get any cake that day. Poor guy, I don't know what came over him. Gods I wish I had my camcorder when it happened.

Oh what the heck....here are a few older ones of Bexley for you.

First the B&W glamour shot. LOL Every female needs at least one, right?

And the tomboy all shaved down. I think this is a goofy shot of her. LOL

Cass.

Aw those are wonderful pictures, Cass! Your nephew is quite the cute pumpkin. After reading his experience with the birthday cake I couldn't help but chuckle. I think we all have something similar with birthday cakes and kids. When my son turned 3 my little nephew of the same age was so eager to blow out my son's candles that he ran, tripped and fell chin first in the cake, poor guy. "lol"

Both Jess and Bexley are beautiful, btw!

Wonderful pictures!!!!! Sounds like you had a great visit with your family!

I'm curious, what's in Bexley? Sometimes I see Yorki and sometimes I see hints of Powder Puff Chinese Crested

I sure enjoyedd your pictures and stories they represent. Your nephew is a cutie pie. Reminds me of my 5 year old grandson. Jesse James is such a little doll baby and the garden is so inviting. Does your mom have lots of land? Why did Bexley get cut down? Her long hair was so beautiful, but even with the short cut she's very pretty.

Bexley's hair gets cut down because it gets very hot here in Australia in Summer (average is in the mid 30-35C and it can get up to 45C ~38C = 100F~) and she's better off without it for half the year. I think she prefers it actually. LOL

Bexley is actually an Australian Silky Terrier. I have a relative who breeds them (although I've never met the woman and have no idea if she's reputable or not) and Bexley, being such a freak in the litter was quickly given away to my uncle as a gift, which he couldn't look after because he was ill. So my uncle gave her to my sister.
I've since seen about 5 other "honey coloured" silkies which is kinda cool.

Cass.
