My prairie dog does the same thing, helps his 3lb rodent rear to the doggy dish while the 87lb mastiff and 65lb bulldog are trying to eat their dinner.

That's cute!!!! At the ranch I work at there's a loose bunny in the basment named Thumper (he's potty trained) and every morning and every evening when the cats' meals are put out (about 10 of them I think) on one huge platter everyone comes in for their meal - including the bunny! He just plops himself in between all the eating cats and they make room for him! It's so cute! No one ever tries to chase him off cause Thumper's the head of the house. If one of the cats ever try to give him smack he'll put them in their place.
