Am I Good Or What?

This is Gem a dog we found in a parking lot and was never claimed. As you can see by the first picture she had puppies not too much befor We found her about a year ago and we had three dogs in a two bedroom apartment at teh time so Friend's of Abandoned Pets, had her spayed and re homed her while I fostered her.

No idea the bred but this is Chum a stray at my parents farm and he moved in, they have had him for five years now.

My Mom promised no more dogs when they lost their border collie. But I think she is a big softy and in moved Chum, and there was no moving out. He protects my mom and the property, so he defiantly has settled in.

I wish it was now that I found Gem because in the house I could have kept her but not in a tiny dog filled apartment. They assure me she has a family that loves her but privacy issues stop me from knowing who or where. I would never try to reclaim her now I fostered her for the FOAP so she was re homed after being spayed, but I often wonder if she is happy and safe and most of all loved. Wish I could just ask about her and let them know if they ever wanted to get rid of her she would always be welcome here.

It is so hard to let them go but you can't save all of them! Just have to have faith in God that he will protect the lesser creatures. If only all people had heart's as big as yours Heather, the world would be a much nicer place!

That was wonderful what you did for that dog. I always believed there was a special place in heaven for people who take care of animals.
