Introducing Dozer!

I want to introduce you all to Dozer, my big boy. Dozer is a dogue de bordeaux (aka French Mastiff - "Hooch" from the movie "Turner & Hooch") He's 19 months old and over half way to his ch. title. We show him as a hobby (since neither my fiance nor I have time for full time showing) and hope to have his title before he turns 2. He's a big boy, weighs in currently at 138lbs and has another few months of growing. His sire was 147lbs and his dam 130lbs so we expect him to get a bit bigger. He has a 27 inch head and a 35 inch chest. But don't let his size fool ya! He loves everyone he meets and doesn't know the word 'stranger.' His breed was created as a guard dog and Dozer goes into 'guard dog' mode at night, which makes me feel safe when I'm home alone. Dozer was bred at the end of Aug to a ch. ddb female and I'm currently waiting patiently to find out if it was a success. I can't wait to see what they will produce! We plan on getting a female ddb, but not until we move. There's no room at our current house for another giant Here are a few pictures of him, he's my big boy.

He is absolutely gorgeous! I just love the look of that breed. He sounds like a real champ, here's wishing you luck in the future titles! And Welcome to G.P.

What a cutie!!!

I never knew that was the breed in Turner and Hooch...that is one of my 'feel good' movies I watch when I need a pick me up...

He is out of European bloodlines and is related to Razzmatazz and Rocky Mtn's Stunning Tazor

He's beautiful! I LOVE that name. That;s what I wanted to name my male bulldog, but he was already named when we got him and I didnt want to change it.

I just have to say, his eye colouring is really, really pretty!

I can only imagine how funny it must look when you go out with Dozer and Bailey together! You must get some funny looks!
