Introducing Bailey!

Our 2nd dog is a 9 month old yorkshire terrier named Bailey. We got him for me to show, since my fiance is the one who 'handles' Dozer (our DDB). I've loved the yorkie breed for almost 10 years now, after meeting and falling in love with my aunts yorkie 9 1/2 years ago. I bought him with intentions to show and he competed in his very first dog show 3 weekends ago. Didn't come home with a ribbon, but boy did he do a good job. I've entered him in a few more shows this year and have hopes that he'll get his ch. title before he turns 2. He weighs in at almost 5 lbs and is a big dog in a tiny body. Anyone who is familiar with yorkies, knows the 'yorkitude' that they can have & boy is he feisty. Him & Dozer get along GREAT they really are best friends. Not once has Dozer ever hurt Bailey and I don't worry about him at all. It's like Dozer realizes he outweighs Bailey by 130lbs. When we're out on walks with the both of them, we ALWAYS get looks & comments about "Big & Tiny." It's pretty funny.

Gosh he is so cute! I love Yorkies, they never seem to grow up and have that puppy look forever!

Majorly cute! My SIL has a Yorkie, and you're right--she thinks she's much bigger than she really is!

Those are some cute dogs! My friend is looking into getting a yorkie, she's just researching the breed right now. Bailey is such a doll! Were you nervous when you first got him, with him being so small?

Awww thanks everyone! They really are my pride & joy! My 2 boys are the best!

Tiffany0204- Yea, I was SUPER nervous when we got him. I owned a chihuahua prior to getting Bailey and she only ended up being 3lbs full grown, so I had experience with tiny dogs, but I'm SO glad he's bigger than she was. Having a 3lb dog is NERVE WRACKING

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Gizmo is only a pound right now and I'm always terrified that he's going to get into something, hurt himself etc etc.

I've always wondered if people worry about their dogs in general, or if it's heightened when you have a toy breed. Either way, both of your dogs are dolls
