So, we have gotten a litter of bottle baby puppies. 8 total from what we believe is 3 different litters. Came from the Miami animal control. They were destined to be PTS.

So far, there is only 1 girl out of the whole bunch. We took two of them to another lady to foster, so we are down to 6 for ourselves. The two we took to the lady were different. One was a chocolate lab mix, and a shepherd mix... or atleast from what we could tell.

The ones we have are 2 rottie possibly mixed with dobie. The mom was a rottie, and she stayed at the shelter to be put on the floor for adoption, but they have that slight point to their nose, and even the lady who brought them to us thought they were mixed with dobie. They are HUGE and adorable They're my favorites. We named one of them Deebo, and the other no name yet. Both boys. Hard to tell them apart right now, but one is a little bigger than the other. The one seems to have an upper respiratory cold, and other isn't too keen on eating. They both had ticks on them, too.

The other 4 I have no clue as of right now. They are all black, with just spashes of white on their chest and toes. My mom seems to think they are border collie mixes, but they're so young yet it's hard to tell. The little runt has a terrible upper respiratory infection. Really really weezing, and coughing.. So all the pups are getting antibiotics, even if they aren't showing signs. One of the black pups has an eye infection. Everyone except the runt has their eyes open, or just barely. So my best guess is that no one is over 2 weeks old. I'd say 10-12 days old for the black ones.

Oh and the runt is named Oscar. My mom's friend picked that out for him, and the only female is Unica/Uniqua [Oo-nee-ka] (sp?) spanish for "the only one"

It's funny because my mom found this awesome dog crate at goodwill for only 30 bucks. It's a large or extra large black crate, it opens on the long side, the top, and front side. The front side has a little latch opening (like to use to put in a food or water bowl without having to open the whole door), which is cool. But my mom JUST said yesterday, "Now you watch us get a litter of puppies since I found this crate, cause it would be perfect!" And low and behold she gets a call about a litter of 8.

So, yes, dub us nuts... but we love it

Wow! You and your mum are saints, I tell ya. It's wonderful you've taken them all in and congrats on being foster mummies again.

Hehe thanks. And funny thing is that there are 2 females. LOL I don't think we ever noticed cause they look almost similar so were picking up different puppies thinking it was the same one. Hehe

We changed the one rotties name and picked one for the other the other. The one who doesn't eat well is Caden (kay-den) which actually means little fighter, cause he fights with you trying to feed him. The other is Maui.

So then we get to decide on the others. I've been looking up names on he Internet while I'm at work LOL so lots to choose from! Going to get pictures tonight!

So this makes 12 fosters total. LOL hopefully lilly is going to be adopted soon. Have an inquiry about her so keep your fingers crossed.

Well, the babies will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. They've been a lot of fun, but a lot of work, too.

We named everyone obviously. The two rottie mix pups are Caden and Maui. The other black mix kids are Oakley, Oscar, Ivy and Izzy. Oscar finally got over his cold, and my mom's friend Mary (who has Cuca) is keeping him. She took care of him the whole time he was sick, and Cuca mothered him a lot. She is out of the state though for a little while, so my mom and I get the dirty work. lol Ivy ended up getting really really sick, and one night she actually stopped breathing and was literally dead. My mom did CPR on her (she was blowing into her nose/mouth and kept massaging her chest roughly and she finally came back around. She had to have nebulizer treatments, as well as a vaporizer. She pulled through though, and probably the strongest puppy out of the bunch. She is BUSY BUSY BUSY and can be a brat! She is fearless and feisty. She's going to make someone a fun fun puppy. Although I see a lot of chewed shoes and chewed up furniture in the future. Haha

But they're all happy and healthy! They are going to be fixed next week on Thursday and they'll be up for adoption that weekend. I have a lady coming to look at the rottie kids this weekend so she can choose one of them.

(I think he looks like a terrier mix... like either JRT or Rat Terrier. has that face and his ears were standing up the other day and he looked VERY similar to a RT, but our rescue director said no there's no way. oh well)

Maui - he has changed so much. His face has really thinned out and they look rottie/shepherd mix.

OMG they are sooo cute!! I still haven't bottle fed puppies (Well, except a long time ago with a foster dog cause she had 13 puppies and couldn't feed them all, but I don't remember much cause I was 8). What cuties!
