Doxie needs home- 3yrs- neutered- trained- please, any one with info please help !!!!

My aunt just informed me that she met a lady(80yrs old) that can no longer care for her 3yr old male Doxie due to doctors orders. My aunt is looking around for a home and wants family to take the dog in- I'm thinking OH NO- I must help. Yet I know my family (relations, not my parents or sibs) doesnt do well with dogs as I have seen, I fear the worst. I told her the main thing is to find the Doxie a good home- family or not. We live in Idaho, she lives in Boise. The Doxie is 3yrs- male(fixed)- and trained. His name is Oscer and is dark brown in color. My aunt says the owner isnt ready to let go now but will be soon due to her doctors orders, Sad situation. I told my aunt NOT to let the dog go to the shelter and to take him in and foster him untill a good home can be found. So far I have got word that there is no adoption fee but a donation would be great to be sent to the shelter or any rescue of choice.
If any one knows of any one that is looking for a new loving companion that live in the Boise/Idaho/Washington/Oregen area please HELP- this little guy needs to find a home that will love him and care for him.

It's always so sad when these things happen.

Check with the DCA Rescue Coordinator and see if she can help you find a new home.

Yes, she is in PA. but she coordinates throughout the United States and will know who is close and available. Possibly even someone on their waiting list already.

Thank Crossfire- I'll give my aunt the contact details. So far no home has been found yet- my aunt still wants our relation to take him in but I'm still screaming NO

. But I'll let her know, hopefully some one is looking to adopt a lovable Doxie.
