:( Apparently abandoned Chocolate Lab found in Cincinnati area.
I found a Chocolate Lab wandering loose in my neighborhood with no tags and noone has called the dog warden to ask about him. I'm trying to find a good home for him. I'd consider keeping him, but I have a male Doberman and I'd be afraid to house them together.

Kudos to you for taking him in! I hope that either his owner shows up with a good reason for not at least inquiring with the dog warden or that your able to place him in a great forever home.

What an awesome person you are! Big pat on the back for taking him in. I hope that you can find a place to be his forever home. You are right that at least he has a warm dry place to stay and food and fresh water to drink. Good luck with him and keep us posted!

Well, I talked to the ASPCA today and they convinced me to let them take him and try to find his owners, or a new family. They promised to keep me updated so I can get him back if nothing turns up. I figured they would be in contact with more potential adopters than I would.I think someone will want him. He appears to me to be a purebred Lab (he's even the appropriate size, not a 100 lb. "Superlab!") and he's really sweet. He has a little gray under his chin, but from what I understand Chocolate Labs can start to gray quite early. Otherwise he seems pretty lively, so I'm not sure how old he is. |

Awww, I'm sure you'll miss the cutie but I'm also positive that the SPCA will find him a wonderful new forever home in time if his owners don't show up.
