I run a reptile rescue, but "reptile" was misread as "dog"... These two dogs came in separately, so they do not have to go together
dalmation, male, not neutered, just had all shots, has cut on ear, very energetic, dog/people friendly, needs a lot of obedience work! doberman, male, neutered, up to date on all shots, cropped ears and tail, comes with AKC papers, dog/people friendly, needs leash work please email me at reptilerescue@eastern-exotics.com or call me at 9082831581 Thanks! |

for the dobe rescue -
PLEASE contact your local doberman rescue. i am not sure where you are, but the DPCA maintains a COPE listing. BETTER YET - you have AKC papers. CONTACT THE DOGS BREEDER. any responsible breeder will take their dog back. if not, the rescue should know taht th ebreed DIDNT. and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not advertise intact dogs at all on the internet. not everyone on the internet is responsible and this isa perfect opportunity for someone to obtain an intact male dal if they wanted to breed. PLEASE contact breed rescue (and the breeder for the dobe). if you need help (in fact, i would be able to contact the local DObe rescues for you if you want, since I am a volunteer with one) please let me know. =Kim |

Please understand I am a reptile rescue. I rescue snakes and lizards. Also understand that when someone dumps an animal off, they tend to do just that. I do not take in dogs (I have three of my own!), so if I get any information on them, I am very lucky. The dalmation has an appointment to be neutered Friday Sept 3rd, I did mention this in other ads in other forums, but it was left out on this one. I do apologize for that.
The species specific rescues were the first to be contacted, neither returned my several emails and phone calls. I also looked on Petfinder for other rescues, but no luck there either. I am more comfortable screening people myself for a good home for these dogs, as they obviously didn't have a great home to begin with and maybe I can help them fix that. I also wish you would understand that advertizing an intact dog is not against the TOS of this site, and I did not mean it to offend you. I understand people so passionate about rescues do have a lot of valid arguments about the overbreeding disease of this country, and as a fellow rescue organization, I FULLY agree. Dogs and cats are in no way the only animals bred out of control. But also understand I cannot simply wish the dog fixed/neutered/altered, I need to make an appointment with a vet in my own area in my own budget. |

Quincy, they are rescues
Read my post please.Doberkim, yes I did contact them several times. I do thank you for your help, but I would rather not be dragged into something petty. I truly understand where your aggression comes from, as I agree about your main point. Advice to you however, if you want to help others, especially strangers, try to come off a little less aggressive and a little more friendly. I know you an amazing person with a huge heart, otherwise you wouldn't care enough to be involved in saving animals' lives. I do believe, however you can catch more flies with honey than harsh words. I wish your rescue lots of luck with your cause. Both dogs have found homes, I believe through this site. I want to thank this site and those that responded (there were many!). I believe these dogs have both at last found forever homes, full of the love and attention they truly deserve. I have taken actions to prevent more dogs from landing on my doorstep, for those concerned I might be a regular here. I was hoping to get involved in a dog friendly forum, but I see I won't be too welcome here. |
