I ran all five of my dogs at the trial today. Cocoa, Marq, Dega, Tip, and Tusket.

Cocoa did so well! She ran fast, clean, and was just such a good girl! We had a great time! She ended up Qualifying in Elite Standard, Open Jumpers, Novice Tunnelers, and Open Touch-n-Go. So basically she Qd in every single one of her runs but one. (In the first round of Elite Standard there was a 15-20 foot distance challenge for the weaves. I attempted it. Cocoa popped out a bit early, but it was my fault.)

Marq did well too! He Qd in his Novice Tunneler's run, and was not even a second over time in Novice Jumpers. (He would have made time, but my bad handling caused him to run around a jump. If you watch the video closely, you can see that I didn't exagerate my movements enough. But hey, I'm still working on getting better at handling large dogs! Lol. I am used to my small cockers and such!)

Marq almost Qd in many other runs, but it was my bad handling, yet again, that caused him to mess up. But, this is only our 3rd ever trial, and I don't pracitce with him as much as we should. It will just take a few more trials to really get connected with eachother.

Dega wasn't that horrible, but she didn't qualify at all today. She had a problem with running around obstacles today(I'm guessing my handling might be slightly at fault), as well as just letting herself have a good time by making up her own course! Lol. There's always tomorrow!

Tip Qd once today!!! She actually Qd,.. and in STANDARD! She WEAVED! She HIT HER CONTACTS! And she stayed on course, and didn't turn excessively wide! I was VERY VERY VERY VERY proud of Tip for that run! But, that was her only Q for today. She came close to Qualifying in Tunnelers and Touch-n-Go, but those darn off course tunnels love to suck her in!

Tusket also Qd in her standard today!!! She did 18 POLED WEAVES! This is a dog that you can hardly get to weave 6 poles, let alone 18!! But she did it! and she was happy and goofy. What a good girl! Tusket also Qd in Open Touch-n-Go!

PS: Marq does pretty well for a conformation dog that came to me with one bit of training only 9 months ago! This is already his third trial, with only 8 months of training.. I'd say he's doing pretty darn dang well!

PSS: Sorry for the talking in the back ground of my videos. Those are my dog training friends that train in the same club as me.. Lol. I have no clue what they are talking about!

Looks like Dega (and I now realize I've always pronounced it wrong... Deega) is doing much better!

And Cocoa! Yay! Congrats! You're making so much progress and so many strides foward with them! Congrats! And the dog's Qing is even better!

My sister wasn't available to take any pictures today, BUT a lady from MI came down today to watch the trial. I know her from my cocker spaniel forum, and she wants to start getting into agility, so I told her to come on down and see a trial! She brought her camera(it looked like a really nice digital one too!) and may have gotten some of Tip and Tusket!.. I hope so. So by later this week I'll have those pictures too!

Marq was such a big happy goofy boy today. Didn't bring home any Qs again today, but that is alright. We had alot of fun. His weaves are amazing. In his standard runs he did his weaves, hit his contacts, but sadly.. Marq sometimes likes to pick his own courses. Lol. When there is a choice between a tunnel and something else, he always gets sucked into the tunnel. That's alright. Now we know what we need to fix(and what *I* need to fix about my handling aswell) over the winter.

But Marq got LOTS of compliments from our longtime "regulars" at our trials. There is a woman named Lisa with tons of little border terriers that just LOVES Marq. Lisa has been coming to our trials ever since I first started eight years ago. And she was VERY impressed by Marq. Okay, so he was goofy and had off courses, but she said he was amazing. His weaves were so good, and she couldn't believe what great contacts he had, considering his long legs! So that definitely made me happy.

Dega also got compliments too. Today, our first standard run of the day, she had a PERFECT FAST run. She didn't miss any contacts at all, she was QUICK the entire time, I handled great, perfect entry into the weaves without any hesitation at all, and she got the distance challenge. It was an AMAZING run. I had several people come up to me later today to congratulate me and tell me how much she has improved. Many of them commented on how two years ago they thought she would have never finished a course, but look at her now! I had one massive GRIN on my face for about 30 minutes straight after each one of those people came up to me and said that. Can you imagine how funny I looked walking my courses with a huge grin on my face? Lol... I tried to stop, but just couldn't. My little weasel butt. Such a good girl.

Tip and Tusket both did very very well on their regular runs today too! But, off courses got us. This judge's courses were very good, but challenging. But oh well, we had fun.

Cocoa, my poor baby, didn't feel well at all today. She refused to run, .. and it was very hard work to convince her to jog, so I ended up just pickign her up and taking her off the course most of the time. I don't even care that she didn't Q, I just worry about my baby. She's probably going to have a seizure in the next few days. She hasn't had one since April..and now she's going to have another.. I wish they'd jsut go away altogether.

For everyone that may have been wondering, Cocoa will be just fine. Turns out it wasn't my giving her a few of those bad treats hat made her sick. She and a few of the other dogs got into a 3lb bag of uncooked rice. After some messy diahrrea, Cocoa is now feeling much better.

The food still managing her seizures?

Yes. She hasn't had a seizure since April. And that was only because she was forced to be back on grocery store food for about a week because my dad forget to buy her food. Before that seizure in April, I believe she hadn't had one for at least a good 3 months.

I hate to jinx it, but I'm feeling safer and safer to say that they might jsut be gone for good, so long as we keep her on a good quality food and away from anything else that might trigger them.
