When I got Farley & started going to obedience classes many of the people there did compete in obedience. I told the instructor that I wasn't interested in that at all. I did go to a few competitions just as a spectator. Lo & behold I caught the bug and we compete in any local events. Farley has earned his CD degree and we are hopefully going to enter an event in May and start working towards his CDX. This month Chloe was in her first show and earned her 1st leg towards her CD degree. Both dogs enjoy classes and really love the hustle & bustle at the events.

Agility attracts me more than any other dog sport.

I like obedience and have been doing agility (loved it....taking a break from it lately but want to go again) and freestyle fascinates me. What fun! And Schutzhund sounds like a real challenge and interesting....such thorough training.

Agility in the lead, as I suspected. Bummer. I wanted to set up a Rally course this summer.

If I were to do a dog sport, it would be agility, obedeince, tracking, flyball, or Schutzhund, just depending on what type of dog I have. If I ever get a GSD, Dobe, Rottie, etc I would really like to do Schutzhund with it. I think that would be totally fun. (And if I had a Pittie....weight pull here I come! lol)

I would love to do flyball with Bitty! Tasmo doesn't really have the love for toys that she does, and if it's a ball, she has it in her mouth. She would be very easy to train for flyball. Tasmo is more obedience-oriented. Not that I'm saying flyball doesn't require obedience, because I KNOW it does.... Um, sorry for the ramble....

Definatly Agility! My old dog is to old to do agility (11 yrs.), but when my pups are bigger, I plan on getting into it with them. Right now, we're working on obedience. Bear is very energetic, so I think he'd like agility a lot. Someday...I'm gonna try it!
