What is the Buddy/Ignore list??

When you go into someone's profile & it says add so-so to your Buddy list or your Ignore list,what is that???

Buddy List: A list of your friends on the forum, you'll see a star next to their name.
Ignore List: When a user is added here, you will no longer see any of their posts
