Bmp-jpg

I don't have a digital camera, so my photos come out in bmp. Is there something I can do to change them to jpg? (Sorry, this hasn't really got to do with the forum, but I didn't know where to ask.)

If you have a PC you should have a built in program called "Paint".

1. Open the picture in Paint
2. Click the flie button on top left
3. Click "save as" (usually 4th one down) - just "save" won't do it
4. When you go to save the picture again simply change the file type to jpeg.
5. You will have both a jpg and a bmp. I wouldn't get rid of the bmp images b/c they are better quality than the resulting jpg. (jpeg is the same as jpg)

It worked! Yipeee!

Now I have another problem...

am I supposed to see my photo when it's in a contest or not? Because I certainly cant...

I don't see that you uploaded a photo. To upload a photo select "Upload Photos" this is located on the right hand side of the page above the gallery search and below the main navigation. Then follow the instructons. Be sure to select what gallery you wish to upload photos to, you want to select the "Member Contest - May 2006"

Let us know if you have problems
