silly choice of user name

i'm not sure who address this to, i am still figuring out who is who on this site. But,when i first joined 2 short weeks ago, i had just gotten B.B. and was desperate for puppy info. i found this site by pure luck and have been enjoying it ever since. Anyway, to sign up real quickly and start spewing my many questions, i hastily signed up as "new dog owner" ( maybe to get your sympathy and attention..haha) I didn't realize i would be logging on so often and practically "chatting" with you all. eventually i will be an "old dog owner, so i was wondering if my husband signed up( he is as active in the puppy rearing as i am), can i use his profile so we can have a more descriptive(and less stupid) name? i read the faqs and already know you cannot change your user name so if the answer is no, i completely understand. just figured i throw it out there, it can't hurt to ask. and also who knows maybe one day i'll be the smartest dog authority in the world. and who would take advice from a "new dog owner?" lol

Can i assume you are the "head honcho" of this site? and can you give me a little backround? how old is the site,who started it. how many workers(moderators and such) do you have and how many regular people members? are people addressed by their user name or can we call each other by our real names?

Yes, I am the owner of the site.

The site was created under the name of thedogpark.net about 10 months ago. After about 3 months, the old server admin and I had some difficulty, and thus, the site shut down with no warning. After a week, it was back up on a new server with a new name, globalpaw. Shortly after that, the forum was hacked, and thus we were forced to shut down yet again, this time for a couple months.

In late May of this year, I re-opened the forum with an brand new forum system...and since then, have been working hard to add new features such as articles, pictures, trivia, chat, directory, etc.

To date, we have 4 super mods, Lil'Paws, Fireworksinjuly, pugdawg1, and Carrie. We have one moderator who watches over the pictures, Rip's Girl. And we have two members who are in charge of taking care of basic questions, general PR, and reviewing articles before they are submitted. These staff are called Dog Forum Guides, we have two of them, flyndog and sheltiepups.

We have about 650 regular members, with an average of 75 members visiting every day.

You are welcome to call members by their username or real name...osme members will prefer one over the other.

WOW Quincy you sure have had a hard time w/this forum...I'm sorry, but it does look like it has turned out for the best..

well, flyndog: i would love to play "guess my new user name" on this site because i think the results would be hysterical. some of you are really funny. but i will spare you the anticipation. because quincy will be so kind to change it : i will now be know as " not-so-new-dog-owner" (kidding) I would like to be called "B.B.'s mom". hopefully, its not taken.
hey, is there a forum designed strictly for the purpose of bragging? My b.b. is doing incredibly well after 3 shorts weeks in my life and i feel that its only the beginning. my family is soon going to grow weary of all the phonecalls from me starting with: guess what b.b. did today!
