color of your name?

How can you change the color of your name next to your avatar?

I was wondering because mine is olive and I dont remember choosing that or picking that? Well anywho was just wondering....

If you "subscribe" to a group membership.....ex. working, sporting, non-sporting under your control panel, your colour represents the group you chose.

I can't subscribe to a group because the Toy Poodle is not listed. I clicked on the link, as instructed, months ago but the Toy Poodle still does not appear under the Toy Group.

Whether a breed is 'listed' or not makes no difference. A toy breed is a toy breed. You're not subscribing to a breed specific group, you're simply using that tool to let people know that this is the particular group (or groups) that you favour.

In actual fact the word subscribe isn't quite accurate since you don't recieve anything. Like I said..it's just a tool to let people know what group of dogs is your favourite.

When you go to 'group memberships' in your CP there should be three lists.

The top one says "The follow groups are available for you to join" the second one says "You are a member of the following groups" and the bottom one says "You may choose to be identified as a member of the following groups". It's this last list that determines what colour your name appears. Choose the sporting group in this list and your name should appear blue.

I'm a member of the working group, misc. group, mutt group & the hound group.
Working group (green) was my favourite so I chose to be identified with that, but because I'm a moderator my name colour is light blue.

Moderators are part of the Global Paw Staff. There are also Dog Forum Guides who are around to help speak with members if they need to be messaged. Moderators may do so also. Mods have the ability to edit and delete posts/threads, ban members, edit signatures, etc. You will see us, as Cass said, with our names in light blue. So if you ever have a problem or question, you can PM one of us.

The administrators are Crossfire Bulldogs and DoozyDog. Doozy is the owner of the forum.
