Avatar Question
I can't figure this out, so I thought maybe this would make some kind of sense to someone else.
Right now I have my avatar up and it is uploaded onto Photobucket. Photobucket seems to blur my images every now and then, so I tryed Ofoto and it turned out clearer on there. I went to switch my avatar over to the Ofoto upload, but it says it is too big and the maximum size is 150 pixels x 150 pixels. I can't figure out why it's saying it is too large when both uploads are the exact same size. Any ideas?? ![]() |

Are you positive it's the same size? Even just one pixel off and it can say it's too large

The original file is 147 x 150 pixels, but it seems to get bigger every time I upload it. I'm just going to try every site until I find one that won't mess it up! The only place it stays the same is on Photobucket, but it's so blurry...
I've tried Ofoto and Shutterfly, now I'll try every over site I can think of. ![]() |

I just don't understand this whole Photo Bucket thang. Why not just manipulate the image and upload from your PC to GlobalPaw? Xat.com has a freeware (or shareware) Jpg compressor and resizer. http://www.xat.com I use it for resizing and compresing images from my camera to my website. It's very easy to use. Try it! Or explain to me why I should use Photo Bucket instead. And while you're at it, how does that Tivo thang work?

Well, I'm difficult.
![]() Okay, I did actually try to upload it straight to GlobalPaw, and it turned out even blurrier. So I tried about three other photo hosting sites and gave up. (As you can see I went back to what worked. LOL!) As far as Photobucket goes it lets you put your photos in your posts on forums. Right now my account is having a meltdown though. As for Tivo, I don't know. ![]() |

Darkness I'll send it to you as soon as my e-mail decides to work again. It won't let me access anything right now.
Quincy I don't know why it's different. All of my pictures blur slightly when I upload then, but I guess it's just more noticeable with a smaller size file. Not sure though, just taking a guess. |

Nope, no web accelerator. Kinda wish I did though, just so I knew why they blur! I'm thinking maybe it's just the resizing that does it, but they don't look blurred before the upload. I guess I'll never know.
![]() Oh and Darkness, I tried to e-mail you that avatar but it said something about not accepting e-mail. |
