Regional Forums?

Hey guys has anyone thought of adding regional forums? Sure would be nice if I could use it to gather and organize groups of people interested in like activities.

I think these would be by request only, but if I had say a

Forum ROOT>Regional Forums>USA>Midwest>Twin Cities Metro Area" I could easily attract more people to the site.

You would need to ask DoozyDog or Dogs4Life (it'd probably be better if you pm'd them as they may not see your thread). In my opinion, though, I think it would "clutter" up the forum a bit. There are just too many groups you would have to add, especially taking into account that not every member is from the US. It is a nice idea though, but there are also issues of security and risk with these types of things (organising meetings on the net).

The other mods may have a completely different view from mine.

I agree with you Erin. I'm not sure it's a great idea. I mean organising activities and 'meets' would be fantastic, but I don't think we need the extra forums...although Jeff and Kendra are the ones to ask about that for sure.

I also agree that although the idea is potentially a good one, there are a lot of issues involved.... between the fact that there would need to be SO many more forums added, and the fact that there would be some serious security issues with setting up meetings online (although, I don't think we have any dangerous members here lol), i'm still not sure that it's such a good idea.
