Adding pictures to your signature?

Okay, I finally figured out how to crop a picture so I can have an avatar. (yeah!) Anyway, I am trying to get "advanced" and add a signature, with pictures. I need some help...

I went to where it says, "insert image", but a little box window thing comes up and says, "enter script to be formatted", or something like that. What do I put in that box? I tried putting in the number of the picture I wanted to post, but it didn't work. Any help on that?

Thanks!

Lori!

Lets see if I can help you any...

First, are you uploading the pictures to a website? (Golbalpaw works good, I just checked out your pictures on there, and they are awesome, Chance is a little cutie

After you upload them to the site, left click on the picture, and copy the properties (I’ll give you one, http://www.globalpaw.com/pictures/sh...ig&ppuser=1401 )

Then, when that prompt comes up, just paste that in the box, and hit submit.. you’ll picture should come up in your sig.

Good luck hope I helped a little

Okay, well I was playing around with it and figured it out (thanks so much!), but when I previewed it the pict. was HUGE! So, I didn't save it. I'll mess with it later though, but I'm not sure how to crop it once it's in the pictures on this site. Are you following or I'm not talking in circles?

I need to take the pup to the vet to have his stitches removed so I will try after a bit. thanks again,
Lori

Ohh I'm following you.

you need to crop the picture then, you need to upload it. Once its uploaded, you can't change the picture at all.

The reason its so big is because it needs to be resized. I'm not sure what a good program for that would be, I just use Micorsoft Photo Editor (it comes with windows, most of the time, anyway).

Good luck with getting his stitches removed!

You can also use MS Paint. Just open with what ever picture you want to down size...go to images and then stretch/skew...make sure you put the same percentage changes in both horizontal AND vertical, otherwise it will distort your picture. With Paint....what you see on the screen is the ACTUAL image size.

OR....a super easy downloadable program is IRFANVIEW It's pretty cool and VERY easy.

Thanks so much both of you. I'm going to mess around with it. Chance and my little one are napping so I'll have a little bit of time now.

His stitches came out great! Nice and easy thank goodness. She said he looked great.

Thanks again, Lori

Okay, I'm not very good at this part. I'm really not an idiot and I usually catch on pretty nicely, I just can't get this to look as wonderful as everyone else. How do you all do the cute little group of pictures with words?

you've got me there Lori, I cannot do it either. You should ask someone to make you one. I know a lot of people enjoy making them. Uh.. none come to mind right now

If you go to the picture forum and have a look for the signatures thread (you could probably use the search tool we have if it'll be easier) then post your request there and the pictures you want used in the signature. You'll get several people (including myself ) making siggies for you and you can either choose one and forget the rest or use them all at different times.
If you want to make them yourself...I personally use Photoshop, others use Paint Shop Pro and I'm sure there are other graphics programs used to create them too.

Cass.

Near the top on the left side of your screen you'll see an area listed as "User CP" click on that then look on the left side where it says "signature" and click on it. You can then post a link for a picture to be displayed.
