Festive Presents for our Doggies

I'm going to buy Chico a Jacket, either red or green and some deep green Balls for him to play with. I'm also going to buy him a hard Rubber Toy to chew on.

What are you going to buy your Babies for Christmas?

Georgia will be coming home(hopefully) two weeks before Christmas! She'll need some toys(tugs, balls, squeaky), a crate mat(bathroom rug--cheaper and my dogs seem to like the rugs more!), and a new collar and lead.

Fudge, our destructive sable cocker, has chewed up and destroyed all of Cocoa's balls. Cocoa will be getting some new tennis balls!

Edited to add: I hope to beg my mom to buy Cocoa and Georgia some raw bones for Christmas!

Hmmm...I am not sure what I am going to get Wesley for Christmas yet...I think I am going to make him special doggie cookies(which I have never done before, so this will be an expeiriment) and I think I am gonna go to Petco with him on sat. and see what he likes and then just get him a few toys...I love getting Christmas presents for your puppies! It is so fun! And this is gonna be Wesley's First Christmas...so I have to make it extra special!

Geez, let me first think about Peanut's birthday present (she'll be 2 this Wednesday).
Then Christmas.
Then Bubba's birthday Jan. 28th (he'll be 1).

This Wednesday, Peanut will get a steak dinner (boyfriend's idea). Of course she will share some with her little brother. I plan to get her a new toy, since most of the toys seem to be lost in the backyard (although one always manages to turn up, dirty and barely recognizable, months after it was last seen). Thursday I am off, so I plan to take them both for a good hike.

I haven't put much thought into Christmas gifts, yet. They'll both get something(s). I just don't know what for now.

I think I am going to end up broke shopping for my two guys. I flew down to florida this week and saw a great little dog that growls and barks spent 30 bucks just for that for Rio. Nickys is a bone man so I got him some bones. Then I bought lots of Disney pet stuff for them. $100. dollars later and we are still shopping. I have an online pet business and sell tons of stuff but they have it all so shopping this year is getting harder. Christmas in our house is for our dogs. This is Nickys first Christmas with us. Rio has a fake phone and I make believe I am calling Santa : I say Hi Santa this is Rio's mommy Rio said he doesnt want any toys this year and Rio goes crazy grabbing the phone. (can you tell I have no kids) They have six foot stocking I fill and plus two other and presents under the tree they open everything even my gifts. We cant put them out till Santa come otherwise they would open them early.
Happy Holidays!

We aren't celebrating Xmas at home this year, so I'm not putting up a tree or any decorations or presents. Sending checks to the boys and me, hubby, Zada and Azrael are hitting the road for two weeks. Going up the coast to the Oregon border. Some friends are going to stay here and take care of the house and Delsi. They are flying in from TN. It's a little vacation for them too.

Well I dont know what we have listed for gift ideas- we usually just look around at toys and treats- then picture the dogs reaction , and then buy. We love shopping for our 7 fur kids(5 dogs and 2 cats)- its so fun. I know we'll be getting Dixie some more tennis balls, she cant live with out them. We'll also be getting alot of chewy toys, tuggy toys, some squeeky toys, lots of doggie treats, and what ever else we think they'll like. For the cats we're thinkin cat treats, more can food, lots of toys and another bed or small throw. They find the one we got to small - they sleep with every one but some times I guess they feel our beds are to small too lol- typical cats !!!

I am making home made liver and garlic treats for the pups and I got them new winter coats. They won't be thrilled about that gift.
I am looking for a new flashing ball for Bailey but I can't find it. We bought her last one in a tiny little novelty pet shop in New York and I can't find them in Washington! The battery died in her current one and she looks so sad when she throws it and it doesn't light up. Lucy will get a tough chewer kong and other tough chewing toys. I swear she is teething again. I feel like I am back on puppy duty! Lucy's gift to me will be a new living room rug to replace the one she destroyed last night. I was trying to convince Hubby to let me redecorate anyway!

Barrett - I may be able to help you out with the flashing ball. Your talking about the ball thats a bit smaller than a tennis ball that flashes when thrown right?

All our dogs have their own Christmas stockings hung around the fireplace and each year are filled with Christmas toys and goodies. New bones, tennis balls, homemade treats and lots of new toys.

Crossfire! Yes it flashes when I throw it. It's red and it flashes for a minute and it's made of soft rubber. She loves this ball with all her heart. I tried to buy her a different one as a replacement but it's too big for her to fit in her mouth and she keeps going to her old red ball.

Let me see what I can do, we bought one for the doxies awhile back as well as one for the grandson but at the moment I can't remember where here in town we got it. I'll ask my daughter tomorrow and see if I can pick one up for you. If you want more than one just let me know and I'll send them your way.

Crossfire, Thank you very much but I just found the ball online!!
http://www.cleanrun.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=788
Is this the same ball that you bought for your dachshund? Bailey loves this ball so much she wore out her last one. I forgot it used to make sounds too. She is going to go bonkers when she opens it on Christmas...I can't wait to see her face.

Hmmm, Well Axa will be getting a stocking FULL of little toys and fancy homeade treats...lol ok i'll just go to the doggy bakery, wouldnt want to make her sick with my cooking lol! I just bought her a nice new burlap sack, she LOVES them and I also got her a massive "Dino-Bone" . We're going to the pet store in a day or 2 so i'll let her pick her LAST gift out. On Christmas day she will also have a lovley feast of turkey and Christmas ham, courtesy of "grandma".
Yeah ok, she's spoiled but hey, I have no kids, no boyfriend, and no other pets......she's my ULTIMATE companion.
LOL
Geez....I'll just any excuse I can think of to spoil that person, uh .....I mean dog.
