Tree hunting!

We went to get our christmas tree yesterday. We do the whole thing, where you hike it through the tree farm then cut it down yourself. We took Kino with us. He loves the snow (there was about 6 inches up in the mountains) but we left Bud home since we know hes not the hiker in the family.

It took us almost an hour to find the perfect tree but we did it!!! We havent decorated it yet since I wanted to see how the dogs would react. Neither of them seem to really care its here.

But Kino had soo much fun with us. Tromping through the snow and pulling me around. I wish I had a camera, but I was afraid to drop it when I slipped so I left it home.

I bet Kino had a great time!

I've yet to get my tree but hope to drag the hubby out sometime this week.

Did you take some pictures?

We cheat, we have put up a fake tree for the last 2 years as my son would like nothing better then to eat the pine needles....oh how I miss the hunt and the glorious smell of a fresh tree.

No pictures...I was scared to drop the camera. It was snowy and wet out.

Sounds like a great time! My tree is small. Really its not a tree but rather a bunch of cinn. sticks, pine cones, and twigs in the shape of a little tree. I put some lights around and it a there ya go....lol.

We've been putting up an artificial tree since 1981. I LOVE the real trees, but hate seeing them die, and all the mess that comes with it. Not to mention, a real tree just seems to lose that special something here in CA. where we are generally still wearing shorts the month of Dec.

We are going to pick out our tree today! We didn't get one last year because Lucy " The Destroyer" was on a rampage already. We will put a metal play pen around the bottom of the tree so the dogs can't drink the water or eat the presents. I'll take a picture of the tree when we are finished decorating it.

Oh and we are forcast to get snow tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only 1 -2 inches but hey...that's perfect for me! Everyone keep your fingers crossed for us to see the white stuff!!
