OK, I am forcing myself to pick ONLY ONE from each group (with 2 exceptions ). If I don't, then I will wind up listing every breed. So, here goes:

Sporting: English Springer Spaniel.
Since I have a Springer, it is a given that I would select this breed. In that case, I will also give my next choice: Vizsla

Non-Sporting: Bulldog

Working: Saint Bernard.
For the same reason mentioned under the Sporting group selection, I will add one more choice: Anatolian Shepherd

Hound: Bloodhound

Herding: Belgian Malinois

Terrier: American Staffordshire Terrier

Toy: Pug

I would have picked a giant schnauzer, I have a good friend with two black ....but I thought about it in terms of what dogs I felt I wanted or could live with and I just wasn't sure about the beard.... as far as dripping water and stuff.... but as far as temperment and overall appearance... I love those giant schnauzers....

Well, then you all MUST come to my "swamp"!! LOL Actually, the beards aren't bad...only after drinking. Unlike a Mastiff (or similar wet mouth breed) they aren't wet all the time!! But, the "fuzzy" kisses are great!!

Is it like kissing a man with a beard? Do you pick the stuff out first before you let them kiss you? LOL. Gross. Sorry. I'm so mean. I think they're really nice looking dogs, sturdy and atheletic. I'd probably insist, though, that they keep their beards well clipped and make them wash their faces a lot. lol
