Mul, I hate to say this, but mabbie you should capatalise on the negativity already present and get them to give the dog up / back now, or find another home / fosterer for it before the dog gets screwed up big time.

It could work out better for the dog in the near or further future. I apologise in advance if I have struck a raw nerve.

I am not too worried about them meesing up the dog too bad, espcially since Jill's sister does about 98% of its caregiving. Assuming no other major incidents I hope the dog can stay there until we can bring it in. The good and bad news is the dog will be there until her sister goes, but that could be as early as next year, or as long as a few years.

The one nice thing is I barely have to see them. Even though they only live 10 miles away from my parents (some 100+ miles from us) whenever we are home we spend almost all of our time at my parents house.

Luckly my family isn't that big of idiots...I think the only stupid thing I ever heard was my Uncle saying when we treated Rose for mousepoisen, "It cost how much?! If I ever had an animal that needed vetcare over 200$ it'd be gone."
I felt like saying, "You've never had a real pet have you?" but I held my tounge.

And then there was my cousin who had NO idea how to train a dog...sounded like the example earlier. And then their is the other cousins who think you should get a dog because it is cute...but on the other hand, my cousin whom I was extreamly worried about getting a dog worked out fine! But more of that with another post!

But I have sympathy for you.
