yes, it will be wonderful to be able to locate your dog lying dead in the middle of the road.
Sarcasm aside....it could have some good uses...such as by hunters for instance. They could locate their dog in the field. For the average owner, however, I still think keeping an EYE on your dog is the better choice LOL

Oh, that is just fantastic! How cool! In case someone does lose their dog, they don't have to worry for as long probably, since they can pinpoint his location. That is just a wonderful invention or application of that system.
Thanks for sharing.

Ah...but I'm lucky enough to have a large fenced in area. My dogs can run but they can't hide LOL Who am I kidding..I have 4 old farts.

Sorry you took my post wrong. I'm fearful of these products. They rate up there with invisible fences , retractable leashes and shock collars. They have their rare, good uses but most are abused and set a dog up for injury or worse. JMO. I live in farm country. Everyone thinks it's great to let their dogs run loose.

Edit: now that I think about it, I suppose it can be a great product for those that have escape artists or very fast, agile dogs. If you can locate your dog faster, all the better!

CTDog i would never use anything harmful on a dog i have trained many mostly GSD in Germany and not everybody is lucky to have a fenced in garden or a big one at that no i didn`t take it wrong and i understand your point it is not necessary to use anything on a dog which could harm it i have always used patience and time that was the best i just thought it would be a good idea for something like that when your dog should go astray my dogs past all the obedience tests and where really fantastic but when i think of them about 6 months old and wanted to do what they wanted they where quick i meant it as a good thing i can understand your way of thinking as well no hard feelings

It doesn't shock, does it? Isn't it a GPS (or whatever those initials are) thingy like you can have in your car that shows you the location of something?

no Carrie it doesn`t shock and it is the same system as in a car all it does is give the location by phoning sends a signal to the satellite and the satellite registers the position and sends it back to you and shows you on a GPS receiver on a map where the dog is ( properly at home waiting for you ) there not daft i meant that as a joke i had the same problem with my dog i waited and looked and shouted then i thought i would go home and sort it out from there when i came out of the forest you can imagine what i saw my dog sitting on the side of the road waiting for me
