Maybe you should have told them that you were so concerned about that poor dog's condition, that you rushed him to the vet and they had to put him down. And they asked you if you had any idea who the dog's owners were, because they wanted to send an animal control officer out to press charges for animal cruelty.

Idoit Pet Owners

There's an older woman who lives acrossed the street from us. She has three huge Dogs that are vicious. She lets them roam all through the Neighbourhood and dump on everybodys' Lawns. She doesn't clean the messes up, either. She lets them roam for four hours in a row.

I have some neighbors like that but it's not them it's thier company's dogs. Three of them roam free in the neighborhood. They always come to my fence and bark up a storm at my kids. There is a little pug that tries to fight with Fallon through the fence. Gosh what a racket! I go out there and shoo them away. The owner doesn't do anything about it. Ugh!

UPDATE!

I'm not sure what happened with the rescue, they didn't speak to me about it, and I felt it would be too nosey to go ask them.

However, they got a new dog. There's a little Weim puppy playing with the kid in the backyard right now. Abbie and I walked past this morning and I asked him where he got his new puppy from. They got it from a pet store. As far as I've seen, they haven't done anything stupid with this dog yet, its been in and out of the house so they aren't leaving it out 24/7, hasn't escaped the yard yet, and I saw the kid brushing and feeding it.

Animal Control says they can't do anything. Not until they do something bad to the dog or it gets caught running all over the neighborhood. I'll contact the rescue and see if I can find out if they stepped forward to claim the dog or not. If they did, they might have some fines or No Pet restrictions, which I could call AC for I think.

I'd hoped they learned some sort of lesson from this. Apparently not

Oh gods. They couldn't look after a little Rat Terrier and now they have a Weimaraner?!!!! *faints*

Don't let Novel see this...she'll throw a fit.

Cass.

A 4 Yr Old Kid??? I wouldn't trust a 12 yr old to do the job completely. People like that are the reason we need to stop hindering natural selection.
