Unhappy Got lost in the WOODS today!

Anyone ever go hiking and get lost in the woods? For over two hours today at our local dog park that is surrounded by conservation and or reservation land me and two other women went for a walk and lost our way. So basically a half hour walk turned into a real hike LOL! Of course we didn't run into anyone on the trails to help us find our way back However the six dogs we had with us had a blast running all through the woods playing. We each owned two dogs and they were all herding dogs. GSD ,BC ,ACD, Aus. Shepard and two sheltie husky mixes . I thought it was funny that we got lost I knew we would find our way out.

Eh-eh-eh!

You be careful. It's very dangerous to get lost in the woods if you're in a wilderness area. What you needed was a horse. LOL.

Glad you all had a good time and a good work-out. Welcome home!

Scary stuff, getting lost like that. One time, a good friend and I decided to take our horses out for an hour or two early morning ride. Keep in mind we lived in Las Vegas, and it was summer, highs in the 100's. Anyhow, we trailer out to a neat area northwest of town.. hilly, rough terrain, but a spot we like. I was in shorts and a tank top, and I had forgotten sunscreen, but figured that was fine... just going for a little while. But of course, we got lost. Really lost. We took some wrong trail somewhere, and were completely turned around. Our short ride took an entire day.. we got back to the trailer at sunset. I was so sunburned. I was sick sick sick. Our horses were dehydrated. Thankfully we kept a rather large bucket type thing of water in the tack compartment for them. And I was very glad we at least had cantenes of water with us. And I was very happy that we both had very in-shape, tough horses under us. That was a heck of a ride.

Makes it quite a relief to find familiar terrain. lol

Me and a friend of mine who was visiting from TN. went over the Edwards AFB to visit my son and go to the air show & after the show decided to go eat at a really great place someone highly recommended that was out in the Mojave desert. We got so lost that we almost ran out of gas. All dirt roads and the car was a complete mess too. Scary!
