fashion dogs
hi im new on ere im a pitbull owner from scotland im also a dog lover dog walker model and ex kennel and soon to be dog trainer.
i been on about this subject for weeks the new trend is dogs being carried in handbags. i totally disagree 100% a dog is seposed to walk so it can socilise in all aspects with people and other animals. i take my dog and all the others i walk in the car with my mother i take them to the city center to the fort shopping center and round to who evers house i go to. when i walk a dog the first thing i notice is alot of dogs lack genral social skills such as being with other dogs going in the car and genuanly having a good time. now i seen in the paper these stoupid idiots such as paris holition are using dogs as an accesory give me break. tea cup chiwaws having you ever heard of such a thing these poor dogs are bred smaller and smaller alough the little darlings are adorable i would not cramm them in to a bag and walk around. for 1 it causes behaviour problems 2 joint problems begin because the dog does not get exercise 3 how do they no the dog doesnt need the toilet or is to hot or stressed no dog big or small should b crammed in a fking bag! then i read the other day paris dog rid of tinkerbell because she grew to big she only likes them small now is tht a dog lover noooooooooooooooooooooo! thats an idiot who does not know anything about dogs she should b shot in my eyes dogs need to walk and enjoy life not stay crammed up in a biag dressed like a teddy get a grip! i would like to hear others appioions on this subject ![]() |

I agree with you. While I have no problem with people carrying around their small dogs for a while (when I petsat a friend's ShihTzu, we took him to a fair with us and the poor pup was so tired, I just carried him around), I have a BIG deal with people getting dogs just to carry around and dress up.
Dogs are not Barbies, nor babydolls. And they should NOT be treated like such. A dog is a dog is a dog, whether it is 6lbs or 210lbs. They all need exercise, they all need training, they all need food, water, and shelter, they all need health care, and they all need love. If the dog is having fun being carried around in a pink bag and is having a blast getting dressed up in sweaters, scarfs, and shoes, then fine! Let the dog be dressed up and carried. But if that causes a lack of socialization, exercise, and training, then don't do it. A dog should never be bought because you want a cute, fuzzy, fashion accessory. Never, ever, ever. |
