Exclamation Missing Child - Please Read!

The FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are assisting Fort Wayne police as they continue to look for 10-year-old Alejandra Gutierrez.
And on Monday, the parents of the girl made a plea to the community to help them find their child.

Emma Gutierrez last saw Alejandra Thursday morning as she walked from her house at 4026 South Clinton and went to the end of the block to her bus stop at the corner of Calhoun and Branning.

The girl was wearing a light blue turtleneck, khaki-colored pants, and a mid-length brown corduroy jacket with a creamy white fur collar. She had on white Skechers tennis shoes that had pink dots and Skechers in pink lettering. She was also carrying a black shoulder bag with pink edging.

City police officers have been searching since Thursday, but Monday they retraced their steps, knocking on doors of homes in a one to two-mile radius.

If you have any information that may help us find Alejandra please contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at: 260-427-1222, your local law enforcement agency, or the Center For Missing and Exploited Children at: 1-800-THE-LOST® (1-800-843-5678) 24-hours a day.

My heart sunk while reading your post. I hope that she's returned to her parents soon. This is the worst thing I can ever imagine happening to me, the loss of a child. Emma Gutierrez and her parents are in my prayers.

It always gives me chills to think about a child being abducted, or abandoned, etc.....I put myself in the shoes of the parents and ask "What if it was me and my child came up missing?" I just can't handle the thought. I sincerely hope they find her soon.

I cannot even begin to tell you how very upsetting lastnight and today has been. It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I post this now that its been released to the media.

I'm so very sorry that we couldn't help and now only thankful that we can at least bring her home.

Dec 19, 2005 - (Fort Wayne, IN) -- Fort Wayne Police confirm they have discovered the body of 10-year-old Alejandra Gutierrez in a remote area south of Fort Wayne. Indiana’s NewsCenter has learned from multiple sources that Alejandra was found today in a wooded area near a gravel pit in northeastern Delaware County.

Alejandra has been missing since December 8th. The Maplewood Elementary School student never made it to her bus stop.

Police officials are turning their attention to a suspect already in custody. Sources tell us that suspect is Simon Rios, the man who is charged in the murder of his wife and three children December 13th. The Rios home is just two houses away from the bus stop.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family now, poor little one,to have such a tragic end to her life.
This is no doubt one of the worst time, also, for the officers who found her. May He lead them to the info they need to stop this cruel person from continuing and give strength to all those who worked so hard so find her.
