Awesome Day!
Wow! Today was so fun! A few weeks ago I told my mom that I wanted to donate to the local humane society for Christmas...so finally today my parents took me to Walmart...I got a huge bag of Purina(which is what the humane society uses) and a "kong" and took it to the shelter! I had such a great time doing it! We even talked about me volunteering there when I am old enough(which is still a few years) but I am so excited! After we gave them the items they let us go back and see the dogs! That was definately the best part! It was so exciting! They had such cute dogs too! They had 2 siberian huskies, 2 black labs, 1 chocolate lab(rescued from Katrina), 1 yellow lab/golden retriever(rescued from Katrina),2 rat terriers, 1 standard poodle, 1 shih tzu, 1 beagle, 1 shar pei/lab(rescued from Katrina), 1 german shepherd, 1 sheperd/rott, 1 shepherd collie, 1 pointer, 1 shepherd mix, and 1 spaniel/lab mix...They were all so adorable and they all had christmas bandanas on...it was adorable! But when I visited I was so happy that I know that I have to work with dogs in some way because I love it so much! I am gonna volunteer at the shelter once I turn 16, which will be quite a while but I can wait for something that I want so bad...I have since decided that I am gonna use my allowance to get dog food and toys to take to the shelter once a month! I can't wait to go back again! But anyways, just wanted to share what a wonderful time it was!

I am so proud of you!! Kudos to you for having the ambition to do something worthwhile! And giving up part of your allowance for those pups in need? Way to go!! Not many kids your age would have the thought to do it, much less follow through. And then to have a goal for the future? WOW!! You are awsome!!
