New Chat Info

Hello all, because of some organizational changes, the globalpaw chat will be held 24/7...as opposed to the old format of 'evenings only'

This means that you will be able to get into the chat at any time you feel like it, however we do still ask that you keep any in-depth dog dicussion in the forums...you'll get a lot more answers that way.

We will, however, be hosting one per week "Official Chats"...times are set in advance. Please join us when we have our official chat!

Hey Quincy - I just tried to check out the new room, but I had 15-20 second lagtime before I got a response to any clicks/typing, so no luck posting a hello - just in case you were wondering what was up. (didn't know where to post a Chat room related item, so I thought I would just add it in here).

no problem.

um...not sure why it wouldn't work...I've even used the chat on dial-up and it worked fine....do you have another computer you can test it on?

It could be any number of things - Mac OS v.s Windows, Safari browser/plug-in etc. I'm sure I could sort it out if I took the time - but chat rooms aren't really my thing - I just wanted to take a quick look to see the layout etc.

A mac user, eh? I suppose that makes sense for a graphic designer.

Yeah, a Mac user from day one. I was stuck with only a PC at work for a few years, what a nightmare! I never realized how stable the Mac OS was until I had to rely on a PC to get my work done. At the end of the day I would have to take most my work home to finish there instead - it made for some very long days.

I have it pretty bad, too...

I do a lot of graphic work...not too advanced, but enough to give Windows the hiccups..

trust me, I would have gone Mac a while ago too, but I need to use Dreamweaver, and all the Microsoft framework for programming, etc...

I'm thinking of just splitting my hard drive and sticking Linux one one area...it isn't Mac OS, but they are both Unix based, and stable.
