What should I do on my vacation
Well it's the new year and that means I have vacation days again! Next week I am taking a week, (I really need it), and am trying to figure out what I am going to do for a whole week!
I thought about doing some training with Rocky. I had mentioned before on some posts about sending him away for a week to another trainer. I decided against, that, but now I have an oppertunity to do a week of training with him on my own. Any suggestions for that? Otherwise I need some fun stuff to do. Anyone on here do vacations at home? |

Sure, lots of walks and hikes with the dog!! I drive to new places I don't normaly take the time to go and walk her there. She loves it when MOM is on vacation.
We also do all the little stupid things like go to the pet store and pick out new toys, clip her nails, brush her teeth, get a bath. |

Thats not a bad idea. I also thought loading Rocky in the car and seeing how many GP members we can meet in a week :P
I wonder how he is going to get use to being in the crate during the day after I have been home w/ him for a whole week. ![]() |

Go for quiet country walks, even if you have to drive to the country first.
It's a good time for some soul searching and unwinding. Take some food along and have pic-nics, even if it's cold. Camping is always a nice way to relax too. Just anything to get away from the house for a few days does the mind and body good. If you stay home you may find too much to do or clean. |
