kind of cute and funny
This is not some earth shaking, fantastic story. It is mildly amusing, but I got a kick out of it so here it is: The other night I set out on the counter 4 doggie cookies in preperation to put the dogs to bed. They always get a cookie before bed. I was doing something in another room for just a second and was planning on coming right back to get the cookies and put them night night. Well, all of a sudden I look at the counter and there is one less cookie. Hmmm.....Then I see Lyric take a second cookie and head down the hallway and go into his crate all by himself. He wasn't told to go to bed. He just helped himself to two cookies (could have taken them all) and put himself to bed.

I use to sleep with my Chihuahua and then I got the other one and thought he needed a friend in his crate with him because pups need to be in crates. LOL. Also, Chulita made me too hot. All 5 LBS of her......she puts out a lot of heat! So the two little ones sleep in their little den in the kitchen just down the hall and Bonnie, my Lab sleeps in the kitchen on her bed or sometimes in the living room....where ever....Lyric, my Dobe pup sleeps in my room in his crate next to my bed. Hopefully it won't be long until he can be trusted to not have to sleep in there if he doesn't want to. Right now, it's ok, but not quite big enough. But I'm afraid he's not completely out of the chewing phase.

LOL what a clever, sneaky dog!
That just reminds me so much of a little girl I used to babysit.. I spied on her one night, and after she'd had her dessert, she stood around in the kitchen, grabbed another ice cream bar, stuffed it in her pocket and then came in to tell me that she was going to bed. She had no idea that I knew, but going to bed got her out of any possible confrontation. LOL. |

LOL! Such a young little girl and sooooo devious already. Aren't they something????
LOL! Yes, Lyric is a devil. Yesterday we went to visit the next door neighbors...all the dogs and I. They like the dogs. Well....they had some friends over and they were having sandwiches outside. I put Lyric into a down/stay. (eh-hem) (Mr. Non Perfect) He stayed down all right. He did an army, belly crawl, inch by inch by inch until he was closer. "I'm staying down Mom....I'm just not exactly staying." That's how Dobermans think....how they get around things. Too freakin' smart for my mind. |
