yuck!

my boyfriend and i took our pom Rocky for a walk about 2 hours ago. when we came back we sat down and watched some tv and Rocky slept content on the floor.. after about an hour i wanted to cuddle with him. he got on my lap and leaned back like he always does to have his chest scratched and i saw something stuck in his fur. (first imediate though ~ i made chicken for dinner and it looked like a piece of uncooked that i threw away.. maybe an inch long) then i feel it and it is slimey...... then it starts MOVING!!!!!

i yell for my boyfriend to hurry up and come in and bring some scissors.. well apparently because my dog is soooo low to the ground and we walked across our yard when we were done with our walk.. he stopped to sniff something and it turned out to be a SLUG! *shudders* ok maybe i am the only one to think this.. but i am still cringing.. it was sooo disgusting! anyway.... has anyone else had any experiences like this??

eww! Yuck! Well there was a big beetle thing on my dog once..and i was holding her and it got on me

Don't let your dog eat them they can be dangerious. From eating snails or slugs dogs can get Angiostrongylus Vasorum, lung worm is transmitted by slugs and snails so don't allow your dog to eat or chew on them, I believe panacur is what they give if the dog falls ill.

Really! I dont think I have ever seen a dog eat slugs..Just some people .. *YucK*

he wasnt chewing on it or anything.. he was sleeping and when he woke up i held him.. with all his fur he gets stuff stuck in it all the time, i dont even think he knew it was there! lol until i started picking at it... he doesnt like his fur to be picked at.. either way.. we cut it out and threw it away....
