Talking Kids will be kids

This a funny little story that you all might enjoy.

Before I moved out to the country I lived in town with my two young Neapolitan Mastiffs (about 8 months old) in a house accross the road from a lady with 3 young children. The kids were absolutely in love with my dogs and everytime I walked out the gate to take then for a walk the kids would come running over to give pats and treats (usually the left overs from their school lunches). Anyway one day the children's
mother found her youngest boy (about 7 years old) in his bedroom crying after after he had been out to see my dogs. She sat down with him and after about an hour of trying to calm him down she asked him what was wrong, "Wilber and Nammisky are going to die soon mum and I don't want them to die". Confused and worried his mother can to my house to see what was wrong with my dogs. She repeated her sons comment to me and I was absolutely baffled as to where he had got this idea as both my dogs were absolutely fine. We decided that we need to get to the bottom of this so we went to speak to her son (who aws still in tears). I assured him that my dogs where fine and I asked him who told him that my dogs were going to die soon , he abruptly told me that "he didn't need to be told, he knew how the world worked". I asked him what he meant and his reply was "They have all the wrinkles on their face like the old people where nana lives and people die there all the time!" I felt so sorry for him because he was so upset about losing his doggy friends but it was all i could do to hold back my laughter

Aren't kids perceptive and bright? That is a cute, but pitiful story. Poor kid.
