Update on Cheyenne

Well it has been almost a week that she has been in our home and can I say if all puppies where this easy to care for it would be HEAVEN---have I said how great she is LOL ONLY ONE potty mistake in the house--she is doing great at letting us know when she has to go--Yesterday she stayed home instead of going to work with me all day--In her crate and NO PROBLEMS..Not one issue at all--and at night she does great in her crate too--no problems--NO more waking up at 1AM either...She is settling in great--the kids just LOVE her to death and Harley is really starting to come around....

Last night they PLAYED together for the first time--and let me tell you it was a sight...I about fell off the couch laughing at them.. Her crate is in the kitchen and she would run in the living room and bite at him and he would chase her so she would run to her crate get in it and bark at him (she knows he can not get in there HAHAHA) then he would turn to come back to the living room and she would bolt out of the crate and do it again and again ...HE loved it..was bouncing around playing--they did that for about an hour then I think he was wore out LOL--she was still ready to go but Poor Harley just isn't used to that Finally they climbed on the couch TOGETHER and layed together..IT was just to cute... I really think this is going to work out...

AND BTW--no answers to the ads I have posted on finding her.. SO I think I will give them a couple more days then call it good.. IF IT where MY dog I know I would be searching for her ...HOW long should I give them before I consider her to be ours fair and square.. I mean she is well taken care of now and is in a great home after all.....She has gained 2lbs in the (less then wk) that she has been with us too....She has an appointment in 2 months to get spayed When she will be 5-6 months old...

Oh! I'm just tickled pink to see things have improved sooo much!
Time and patience are all that was needed...you'll have to post pics of the two of them!
Couple more days sounds good to me, then you can call her yours for sure! You've gone above and beyond caring for her and trying to find her owners , so I would say she is yours!

I really have to get a new dig camera--the one I just got STOPPED working--JUNK...anyway I found a picture online of a dog for adoption and she looks JUST like Cheyenne--they have her listed as a Am Staff Mix--but they look almost exactly alike OTHER then the fact Cheyenne is younger and smaller...She is est. at being around 3-3 1/2 months old--ALL brindle..NO white on her what so ever and no black mask or anything like that.. Her ears are cute as can be One is trying to stand up the other isn't so much..but its cute. She weighs 18.4lbs NOW--the day found she was 16.2 lbs--was infested with hook and roundworms--and who knows about shots.. So we wormed her OF course--gave her a nice flea bath since she had fleas--and gave her her first Dhppccv and Bordetella vaccine. 3 days later she got treated with frontline and got her first heartworm pill.. Since then she has been eating-playing-and sleeping LOL.. what puppies do best. She goes back in about 3 wks to get her booster dhppccv and prob. at that time will get her 3 yr Rabies vaccine and will be Licensed in the city. At 5-6 months she will be spayed and at 7-8 months will get her first heartworm test *it takes heartworms 6 months to show up so she has to be over 6 months old to get tested* then she will be set to go OH except for microchip which will be done while she is under for her spay--Thats a BIG needle for such a little girl LOL.....Oh yeah back to the orig. reason I posted LOL- her is a link to the girl that looks like her http://www.homeatlastrescue.org/html...ruppie_01.html *I hope it is OK to post the link*

I agree if it was my dog the whole state would know it was missing.
I do wonder though if these people may have gone on holidays and left her with someone to care for???
Two weeks should be enough time though

I look up the link you gave, oh! my gosh what a beautiful dog...and you say Cheyenne looks like her...WOW!!! Got to get you a camera cause i am really anxious now

Did your vet check to see if she was micro- chipped? I do hope no one shows up to claim him after all the time and expense you've put in. There are people just like that so beware. Can't wait to see picture of them together.
