Announcing a new Novel family member!

Well, I had been waiting to make this announcement, because the details were still being worked out, and if you look back, I've made the mistake of announcing a puppy that never made it here because it was never born!!
But, anyways, on Tuesday, I am making the trek to Eastern Ohio to pick up our newest girl. Since we were never sure that we were going to get her until last night, we have never thought of any names! So, I need your help.

Her Sire is: Ch. Nani's Indecent Exposure, JH "Streak"

He just took Best of Breed at the AKC Eukanuba Nationals Yesterday!

and her dam is Silhouette's Sweet Dreams, "Lucy"

She was at Westminster in 2004, and has a very nice type that I think will mesh very well with "Streak".

So... anyone who wants to help with some registered names, be my guest. She will have Silhouette first, and my kennel name is Novel, which can be put anywhere it works as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not sure which female I will take yet, I have 2nd pick after the breeder. Hopefully by Thursday I'l have pictures for all of you!!

Considering what all we've discussed on this one in the past how about something fitting like Silhouette's Novel Idea?

LOL! You know, that may be just right!

And yes, this is the puppy we've spoken about. Topper's breeder and I were able to come to a compromise on the contract that suits us both. I wouldn't really say that this puppy fell into our laps, but boy, I sure like this, next week come get your 8 week old pup, vs. 6 months from now we plan on this breeding.... LOL! However that breeding is coming along fine, and Jewel's Drama Queen at Novel, call name "Sam" gets her first picture on Monday (ultrasound) and is due Jan. 23rd or thereabouts. Still another 8 weeks to go after that... and we still may be disappointed if no girls are born, but, I faithfully mark off the number each day on the calendar. 8 more days to go on that litter, and then yes, I will be certifiable in late March, with the original three Novel tailwaggers and an additional two puppies!

OOooooooo How exciting!!!!!

I saw that beautiful dog, Streak on the show last night.....absolutely enough to knock your socks off. He was incredible! This is just so very thrilling. I'm so happy for you and can hardly wait for pictures. I love Sonja's idea for a name....Fantastic! I do hope there are some girls.

PS...What do you mean by certifiable? Is that like certified to be comitted to some kind of a home?

Or certifiable, as in certified breeder. Is there such a thing?

No, certifiable as in I need to be committed!

Both breeders know that I am taking in another puppy, and because I am a stay at home puppy mom, they have agreed and feel that the puppies are still both going to a great home.

Both puppies will be girls, they will be two months apart. Showing is going to be fun come May! I need to find an assistant. The one girl, unnamed, is coming from Ohio, she will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. The other girl, Sam, yet to be born, is due on the 23rd.

Isn't Streak awesome! He's been used alot, which I am always leary of, but, this breeding, the one this girl puppy is from, has been in the plans for over a year.

Pictures will be forthcoming as soon as I have some!

Oh congrats, and I agree I like that name also. Oh he was gorgeous, I loved the way he looked so bold, conf. and ever so beautiful. Lovley expression in his eyes- just breath taking. You must be proud to be getting a puppy from him, and the dam - just beautiful. I think the puppies will be nock-out gorgeous- I cant wait to see pictures.

I am very honored to take a puppy from Streak and Lucy. I've seen some of his adult get and they have, when paired with a nice female, turned out very nicely. Lucy is a very nice feminine Weim. This breeding exceeds Topper's breeding and he's done quite well, yet you never know until they start showing.

He has quite a few finished get already. He is ranked #4 in Weimaraners, although that may be closer to #1 now, since we're always a little behind in our magazine. As of Nov 12 he has had one G1, 6 G2's, 6 G3's and 3 G4's with 51 Best of Breeds, and he has made some major placements since November!

The dam, Lucy, was at one time ranked #8 in Weimaraners, with a G1, and G4 and 24 Best of Breeds. That was in January of 2005. At that time she was beating Streak in rankings.

OMG!!! You mean that Weim that was on last night??? I jumped off of the couch when I saw him and yelled at my husband "Look at that dog!! He is off the charts gorgeous!!" You are so lucky!!!! Congrats on the babies, and yes PICTURES!!!
