Book Club, Anyone Interested?

Hey there,

Anyone interested in a book club? I was thinking of a monthly feature book we all can discuss together.

How about it? There is nothing like reading a good book with a great bunch of friends

The poll wasn't up yet when I last posted.

Ok, I chose 'other'. The reason? - I think it should be a mix of both fiction (dog related as well as non-dog stuff) and non-fiction (strictly dog topics only though).

I've thought of having 2 groups or more depending on the popularity. I know some people only like to read Sci-fi or mystery novels so maybe we can have lots of groups.

Just let us know what you like, this is for you.

I checked dog books in the poll. But, I usually enjoy reading all kinds of books. I just haven't had much time for reading, lately! Maybe this will get me back on track!

Sounds like a nice idea!!!!

Maybe for dogbooks, well not storys we can evaluate a book and disscuss how well we like a book, maybe grade it.
The others it is probably a lot of fun just to talk about it, maybe i find a new series to get into..... would be nice and probably very helpfull, if someone has read the book. I always stand infront of bookshelfs and can't seem to make a decistion and then i end up not buying a book, because it might be not good.

I like that idea!!!!

There should be a regular time for us to start discussing the book. Perhaps the thread could be started with a few questions like.... Did you enjoy reading the book? What was your favourite part? What was your least favourite part? Do you have a favourite character? Least favourite character? What did you think of the story? Do you have any questions about the story that weren't answered in the book? Would you read other books by this author?

Then we could all discuss our answers with each other. The thread could perhaps be open for an entire month (and stickied) so while we're reading the new one we can still discuss the old one.
I don't know if that would be confusing or not though.

Just some ideas.
