Lightbulb Awareness

It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt. Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration.

There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning!

He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?"

Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir."

The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?"

"No, sir," continued Ollie.

"No? And why not?" the senator asked.

"Because the lives of my family and I were threatened sir."

"Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned.

"By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered.

"Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?"

"His name is Osama bin Laden, sir" Ollie replied.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked.

"Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered.

"And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator.

"Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth."

The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip.

By the way, that senator was Al Gore!

Also:

Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners."

However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released.

Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified. It was censored in the US from all later reports.

If you agree that the American public should be made aware of this fact, pass this on.

Oh, so you saw this already. Well, good.

Here's a joke for you:

Two boys in Boston were playing baseball when one of them was attacked by a
>rabid Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy ripped a board off of a
>nearby fence, wedged it into the dog's collar and twisted it, breaking the
>dog's neck.
>
>A newspaper reporter from the Boston Herald witnessed the incident and
>rushed over to interview the boy.
>
>The reporter began entering data into his laptop, beginning with the
>headline: "Brave Young Red Sox Fan Saves Friend From Jaws Of Vicious
>Animal"
>
>"But I'm not a Red Sox fan," the little hero interjected.
>"Sorry" replied the reporter. "But since we're in Boston, Mass, I just
>assumed you were." Hitting the delete key, the reporter began: "John
>Kerry Fan Rescues Friend from Horrific Dog Attack" "But I'm not a Kerry
>fan either," the boy responds.
>
>The reporter said, "I assumed everybody in this state was either for the
>Red Sox or Kerry or Kennedy. What team or person do you like?" "I'm a
>Texas Ranger fan and I really like George W. Bush" the boy says. Hitting
>the delete key, the reporter begins again: "Arrogant Little Conservative
>Bustard (mod edit) Kills Beloved Family Pet"

A lot of stuff went wrong and there is a lot of stuff that still is going wrong...

What they did to your rights after 9/11 is just the tip of the iceberg.
and I strongly belive that they know where Osama Bin Laden is, they just not capture him, because it would be officially over, then, no Enemie out there, no reason to keep the public scared. even less soldiers to sign up for the Army.

I just wish that all would come to an end. No more killing of civilllians and soldiers.

Yes, that is so true about the centuries of war, but that Sadam tyrant had to go.

oh what happened to my post??? it was quite longer, when i hit the post button....

Oh well anyways....
They had the chance to take out saddam quite some time, but they didn't because a known evel is better than an unknown, as we can see....
I wish they would get Osama that would take a lot of strenth from the terrorists. Saddam atleast din't attack somebody.
I don't know what the recepie is to get them to stop, but i wish somebody would.
If it wouldn't be for the transportation and the weapons that reach arround the world, I would say, well let them kill each other as long as they want to, they obviously having fun doing so!!!!
But they get now other countries involved....
So we are in it, too.
But I don't thing they want the modern world there, not yet, and it will be hard to maintain the modern world. I just can hope that it happens, but really have my doubts, because religion is so deep in people that is hard to change.
That would mean that you have to take the believes, their hope and raligion. Try telling a very religious person that god doesn't exist.. or that the bible isn't true.....
I have to admit i am not really religious, but I respect ones believe, Every body needs something to belive in.
But on the other Hand Religion is the number one cause for wars....
